There are many 1-800 numbers advertised on TV which will connect you with pharmacutical companies. Many times these companies will provide assistance free of charge if you meet certain criteria. I don't know a universal number right off hand . You might also inquire your physician of plans such as these. Many times they offer programs.

You can contact the drug companies of the specific medications you're using to see if you qualify for free or discounted medications. You can also go to www.pparx.com and enter some information to find out. You should also speak to your doctor about samples. The drug companies hand them out to them to hand out to patients. They will be happy to give them to you if they have them. You can also call United Way to see if they can help you. If you're not able to get help with your present medications you should ask your doctor about alternatives. There may be other drugs that work just as well and are also covered by medicaid. good luck.
