AO Smith Vertex Water Heater?

Question

I am in the process of selecting a new water heater for my house. I have consider going tankless but it proves to be too costly and alot more work in plumbing and venting. So I came across the Vertex. I need to know what power venting is. I also would like a round house figure of the cost of this model. thank you

my husband said the vertex is a piece of crap he works with stuff like this so I value his opinion.
