Does wizetrade or investtools really work?

It depends on what you mean by "really works".

In general it has been shown that novice investors go from initial successful trading positions to losing money because of lack of trading discipline and money/risk management. If you learn these from wizetrade or investtools, than you may at least do better than you would otherwise.

On the other hand, if you mean the kind of results stated at
http://www.investools.com/benefits/avera… or where you expect to significantly outperform the S&P 500 consistently every year, then I would have to say my opinion is it does not really work.

The reported average returns results reported at the site above look very good, however you need to read the fine print where it states the results described are not indicative of the results individual investors may generally expect to achieve and that you should not expect to experience similar results.

There are several reasons why these results may be atypical.

The sample appears large, but it was not a random sample in fact it was from a group who all took the classes between April 20-30 2004 (a ten day period). You don't know the level of experience these people had (for all we know the only people who were taking the class at this time were successful traders who were given special offers to attend), they all voluntaried (as a general rules people who perform poorly fail to volunteer to report their failures) The group represents less than 0.5% of the the those who have graduated from the program. You don't know if other studies where done and the reported results are from the best study.
