The previous owners of my home erected a shed, but I just found out they had no permit. Who is liable?

I just baught the home in Florida. I recieved notice from the HOA that there was never a permit posted for the erected shed. I have also found strutural damage to the home not listed in the disclosure. Who is liable??? Do I have other recourses?

Additional Details

I have been in the home just shy of 90 days. The HOA stated this the third warning (though I have seen only one) and legal action may be taken against me. There is also water damage and structural damage to the house which was hidden from the pre-sale inspector and not disclosed. I'm wondering if I need a lawyer

knock down the shed or go pay for the permit. probably appx 50$.
As for structural damage, you have to prove the prior owner knew about it and didn't tell you about it on purpose. kinda hard to do. thats the law in georgia. not sure about florida. m

Pay the fee to keep the shed if you desire the shed, storage can be priceless. As for the "damage" I believe your realator should be taking care of that for you. No realator? You probably have to fix the damage yourself.

How long ago since closing? Call your broker and ask!!! depends on agreements

and if sold as is its on you!!!
