What are the common side effects of Xenecal? Does everyone get them? How do you lessen them?

My doctor just put me on Xenical and Botrin. I know I have read about stomach problems caused by Xenical. I have about 60 pounds or more to lose and Xenical will help, but I work 8 hours a day. How do I minimize these possible side effects? Does everyone definitely get them (lack of bowel control)?

The first thing you need to do to avoid any side effects is to make sure you are following a low fat diet for at least 5 days before you begin taking the tablets. I know of people who have eaten badly right up until they began taking it and got a bad reaction for a few days. I was already eating healthy when I started and didn't have any problems. After that, the only way you will have side effects is if you don't follow the instructions on the pack. Don't believe people who tell you that everyone or even most people have problems taking Xenical because only people who take it incorrectly have trouble for example, incontinence, oily stools, headaches & and oily discharge. Just stick to 12g of fat per meal and less than 40g overall per day and you will be fine. Good luck!

Everyone does not suffer from the side effects but when and if you do, please notify your doctor for a change of medication.
