How sell handgun (and resell value)?

Question

I own a .45 caliber handgun (glock 21). I recently had a baby and no longer want a gun in my house. Question: how would you suggest I go about selling my handgun? Also, how can I learn the approximate value of it? Are there any other issues I should know about when selling a gun (i.e. licensing it with the new owner)???

You could take it and have it appraised. I know around here, the safe thing to do when you sell a licensed handgun is take it to the sheriffs office and have them re-register it to the buyer. It might be a different place where you are from.

it varies in what state you live...in California, you cannot put a newspaper ad for a auto.....but it is a good way to sell....there are several sites on the net to find the value of the auto....

i agree with Crissy, but i wonder why having a baby means having no guns. a gun is a tool, nothing more. as for value, look for magazines like the shotgun news for selling prices for similar pieces.
