What if your the renter of the house that the tree fell from what responsibility is there-still the home owner

the wind blew the tree onto a neighbors house I just need to know whose responsible if I dont own the house and just rent to own it. Is there anywhere I can find out the legality of this?

As a homeowner your landlord should have insurance on the property.. In Florida it is the responsibility of the neighbors (that the tree hit their house) insurance company to take care of this.. I know it doesn't seem right but here in the land of hurricanes and lots of trees falling this is how its done. But you are not responsible as a tenant unless the responsibility for insurance was assigned to you in writing on your lease.
