Try some Goo Gone. You can buy it most anywhere.

Depending on how strong the adhesive is, giving it a good scrub with some rubbing alcohol will do the trick. Otherwise, you might want to go to a home improvement store and find a product specific to your type of floor.

Buy a small can of acetone. Use a wash cloth soaked in it and rub off the adhesive. Can't find acetone get ronsonol lighter fluid or finger nail polish remover. While these two products are very expensive for the task they will do the job for you.

Use a sponge drained in hot water, then rub your floor using a bit of floor cleaning product as well. This usually does helps.

Turpentine, WD40, or Goo be gone might take it out. also try peanut butter, just spread it on and let it sit for 10 to 15 min. the oil in it softens and cuts most "sticky" substances ie gum.

I would do WD-40 first, spray on leave for a few and wipe off. If this doesnt work liquid lighter fluid will also disssolve adhesives very well but I would be cautious it may eat the finsh off. I would put a little on a rag not directly on the floor though.
