Shingles and staple guns?

WILL A REGULAR STAPLE GUN (NOT A REGULAR STAPLER) HOLD UP CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ON A ASPHALT SHINGLED ROOF? IN OTHER WORDS, WILL STAPLES HOLD THROUGH SHINGLES?

Sure will....done it many times..Just becareful not to have the staples go through the cord.

It sounds as if it might work, but I'd consult someone who roofs for a living, as it might puncture a shingle and/or the felting beneath that - which could cause a leak and subsequent damage to your roof.

YES & 10, 000 ROOF LEAKS WHEN REMOVED!

It will work great and won't make you roof leak, they are staples people not big nails, you won't have 10,000 leaks. The staples won't go down far enough.
