i always hear people on yahoo talking about it.

An avatar is a graphic representation of you in cyberspace that you design. You can create an avatar on Yahoo by going to avatars.yahoo.com. This service lets you choose clothes, hair styles, and back ground. Once you've done that you can use your Avatar to represent in places like Answers (rather than the generic smiley face).

An avatar is something that represents you in the virtual (computer) world.

See the cartoon faces and photographs next to the questions and answers? Those are avatars.

You haven't selected one for yourself yet, so all you have is the generic smiley face.

Click if you want to be a boy or a girl.

it is the picture that you see with the yahoo answers. you can make it you own. try it! sign on to your mail click on the picture that is probably blank. and just go from there.
