He didn't use a mixture of all those other Martial Arts that the last person answered....He trained In Filipino Kali....it uses less strength and energy with simple movements....people need to do their research on the Bourne movies....Joel

Krav Maga - It's an Israeli Self-Defense Methodology

He used Kali (the same martial art used in The Hunted).
You can find the interview online.

Bourne doesnt use 1 style, which is the point to mixing arts in the first place, as all COMBAT technicians will do.all of these combinations of arts are just getting back to Bruce Lee's idea of Jeet Kun Do...the "no way" way..

also Kali IS the main form they used because the hands are so obvious and expressive and it makes good film, but all arts claim to be simpler etc etc ...in fact muay thai and aikido are just as simple if not moreso...

Yeah, it was Kali. It's a Filipino martial art used in close-quarter, hand-to-hand combat. Go back to the first Bourne movie and do some googling. He talked about it a lot. He also trained with a professional boxing trainer and had a weightlifting trainer named Mike Torchia.

Yes, I agree more with the commentors than I do with the answerer. There are definately Kali aspects in the fight sequences of both movies. The trained eye can also see aspects of wing chun ( a gung fu derivative) which also uses a lot of blocking and trapping techniques.

j-red22 has the closest answer their is no one seperate fighting style that is being used. Kali in itself is not original and derived (along with several other styles of Filipino martial arts) from the Chinese mainland (and they are said to have developed some from India)

The issue here is that no one but Nick Powell knows for certain. Nick Powell trained and choreographed the movie stunts his background is varied and his bio is very thin on facts:

I wouldn't limit the techniques to just one "form", per se. Modern combat systems like Jeet Kune Do and PFS (Progressive Fighting Systems) usually incorporate various arts into the training; such as Kali, Jujutsu, Wing Chun, Muay Thai, etc. PFS employs many of the same techniques seen in the movie.
