If you want to change to another version of messenger:
To uninstall go to Add/Remove programs and remove.
Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Yahoo! Messenger
If that doesn’t work, go to C:\Program Files\Yahoo! to remove.
To download Yahoo Messenger verison 8, go to:
http://messenger.yahoo.com
To download Yahoo Messenger version 7, go to:
http://www.brothersoft.com/internet/chat…
I downloaded 7 and it works great!
To download Yahoo Messenger version 7.5, go to:

Or you can download any version of Yahoo Messenger at:

If your popup blocker doesn’t allow it to download, hold down “Ctrl” while you click on download.
After you download the messenger you can retrieve all of your contacts by going into your contacts and importing contacts. It will guide you through from there.
