Joris-Karl Huysmans A Rebours question?

does anybody know what part it is in the book, where his cousin (Des Esseinte's cousin), or some relative, hands Des Esseintes some flowers, and he says he can't tolerate the smell and sprays them with some perfume? Because this is the ultimate decheance and "a rebours", and I need it for my report. Give me the chapter and I'll be fine, 'cause there's so many versions of it out anyway. Preferably a quote from "Against the Grain". (The English translated version.)

Try looking on Amazon.com. There is a feature called SEARCH INSIDE THE BOOK. It is located just below the cover of the book on the website. Put in a keyword and it will show you all the pages with that word on it.
You only get a couple of lines of text, but it may be enough to help you pinpoint the info you need.
