What Resident Evil game kept you jumping and you staying at your edge of your seat?

Question

For me I would say Resident Evil 2 closly followed by RE4... I like Resident Evil 2 more thoe, as it was truely scary, like when a monster would jump out of a window out of no where, and that crash, made me jump really good... with RE4 the way a guy would come out of no where from a cabin, was pretty scary, but I still say RE2 is the better one... but RE4 does keep you to your seat.... I am wondering what you guys think, which one is the scarest?

I remember buying RE2 and having no idea, what RE was, then I played it, and the first time playing it, scared the crap out of me! But I love the rush you get, when you get scared as all hell!

i would say RE4... there's no auto-aim and so you have to literally search for the enemies around the place... and if they happen to throw some explosives at you and you dont see them, game over... i would say that it's one of the games that actually make me go around aiming every single place on the screen to ensure that the place to save to go through...

RE 2!!! Best RE game ever and always had me clinching my couch cushions. Best storyline and charecters of the series. GREATEST RE GAME EVER!

I'd have to go with RE4. That's probably because it's my favorite. I just love all the extras. However for scary factor, it would have to be RE1 or RE2. The first one shocked my socks off & the dogs jumping through the window scared me half to death. It probably wasn't all that frightening looking back, but I didn't know what to expect when I bought it either.

Oops. Phone rang & I hit submit before I finished my thought. LOL

So, my answer for scariest would have to be RE2 all things considered.

yeah RE2 was the scariest but RE4 kept me at the edge of my seat, with the good controls, the better shooting aspects, and the better bosses, and oh yeah no more stupid zombies....

Code veronica was very intense to me. I also liked part two as well, it was the first resident evil game i ever played, and it scared the crap out of me at every turn.
