Eye sick cats?

Question

why are my cats eyes full of green yuck ***** stuff and how do i treat it ??? I asked my local vet and they said just to clean them out with warm water and its not distemper but what is it ????

Additional Details

they are babies and there are 5 of them and i also have like 4 other cats outside with them and there nott sick why??? Neither are the 3 i have in the house just the babies are

The vet can provide special drops for your cat's eyes that should make that go away.

I have three cats, and from time to time they also have eye boogers that are yucky looking. As long as your kitties have been given the clean bill of health by your vet, try just gently wiping the gunk off with a piece of tissue paper. As long as you're not actually touching your cat's eyes, he's be fine. :)

If your cat's eyes are not weepy then it is just dust in her eyes. Cats can not cry so they have no way to clense their eyes when dust and dirt get in their eyes. If their eyes are weepy take your kitty to a vet. That is an infection.

It could be conjunctivitis or it could be the start of an Upper Respiratory Infection. If you notice a cough or sneeze starting and also greeny/yellow stuff coming out of their nose then get him to the vet. Clear and brown colored gunk in the eyes are normal, but yellow and green colored are usually a sign of sickness

it is probably an eye infection and he needs antibiotics. take him to see the vet

They are suppose to be like that until they're about 3 month old.
