Is there anyway to stop excessive sweating beside surgery?

Question

I sweat all over my body excessive, including face, armpits, stomach. It has gotten worse as I have gotten older. I am in excellant health an have no physical problems causing this problem. I am no more than 20lbs overweight and even when I was extremely thin I still sweated excessive. I tried Drysol yes it worked but I had to apply it all over my body, which is hard and timely. I have read about cutting the nerve supplying the sweat glands, but would prefer a less invasive procedure. Is there any medications available?

Additional Details

Botox will not work since I cannot inject my entire body with it. Botox is only good for isolated area.

I have been to a doctor about it he prescribed Hytrin. This inceases the size of blood vessels and decreases body temperature. This did not work!!

All my clothing is 100% cotten. I prefer cotten since it breathes.

Has anyone tried Oxybutynin Chloride or Glycopyrolate for this problem? I know that they are not designed for this problem but one of the side effects of these medications are they cause a person to STOP SWEATING!!!

You sound like you have been doing a lot to try to remedy the problem, and I don't think anyone here will have much to add. I would recommend going to the forum below. They have a lot of experienced people dealing with similar conditions, and they may have an answer for you.

I would also think that surgery would not help your all over condition.

i get sweety pits and have been told to try (pit rock) from chemists gotta say ive still not tried it also botox injections are ment to be amazing at stopping it good luck

I have seen commercials that say Botox helps with excessive sweating. What you have to do is speak to a doctor about it.

Do you wear a lot of polyester, nylon etc...as they will cause the body to sweat more, try wearing more natural materials.
You may have to 'just put up with it', I would hate to think you would resort to surgery and botox? Stay away from chemicals and surgery, go see a naturapath.
