Lexapro Vs Prozac?

Question

My doctor recently switched me from 20mg or Lexapro to 20 mg of Prozac at my request due to financial reasons. I am worried about the sexual side effects as well as whether or not I am able to drink socially on this medicine. Can anyone share their experiences with Prozac?

one of the "old school" antidepressant may help you. Desyrel, generic trazadone, has helped me in the past. A month's supply would cost me $14.00 - depends on the dose, of course. Never impacted my libido, either! Helped me get a good night's sleep long after I stopped taking for depression. I don't know about the drinking, though, as I don't do that very much at all. Don't know why the newer antidepressants are so much more popular than the oldies.

Side effects of a molecule vary in thier manifestations from person to person. Unless you start taking the med, you may not know which side effects it's producing for you. So, the standard advice is, know well about the possible side effects, start taking the med and consult your doctor if you start to develop any.
