I drug test for a living in a psych hospital... Vicoden is an opiate which lasts for 72 hours.... Now THC (pot) can be out in as little as 5 days unless you are a chronic smoker, or are overweight, which it can then take up to 30 days

It depends on how much fluid you drink prior to your test. If you only smoked or had a couple of drags off a joint, you could test within 2-3 days if you flush with a gallon of cranberry juice. If you are a regular user, it could take upwards of 2 weeks min to 1 mnth.

If they're doing a hair test the marijuana will stay for 90 days and I'm not sure about the vicodin... if they're doing urine... I think you should be okay about a week after taking both to clear a urine test. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice to flush the system and take advantage of the antioxidants.

30 days for weed,if you were taking vics couple times a week I would say about a week

Nikki is correct.......Vicodan is metabolozed by the liver quickly...so it would be out within a couple of days. Pot stays around 7 days for someone who never or rarely uses and can stay up to 30 days in a person who smokes regularly.

if you need to take a test for a job, maybe what you need to be asking is what can you do, besides wait 30 days, to ensure a clean test. there has to be something you can take? just so you know my friend just arrived to my house from Wisconsin where he was a pot head. he went for interview for a good job in aerospace and his test came up positive for pot. prior to test he purchased some 45 X 2 dollar crap from health food store that was supposed to clean out his system hence clean urine test. 15 minutes ago he got results. no go, they found traces of pot. that's why I'm here looking around for a solution because they have given him an opportunity to take test again. so good luck and i will be waiting to pass info as soon as some one gives you better answer.

Marijuana would be at least one week.

With regard to the active ingredient of vicodin, hydrocodone, my guess is that it would be several days.

Codeine (very similar to hydrocodone in structure) has about 10% converted to morphine. Morphine when metabolized is conjugated (chemically combined) with other things then undergoes what is called enterohepatic circulation.

Enterohepatic circulation is where a substance is secreted into the bile and then the bile expells its contents into the intestine, the intestine then absorbs the substance back into the body.

A fraction of the substance not excreted back into the bile goes into the urine. I would be very surprised if hydrocodone metabolites did not undergo this enterohepatic circulation.
