Oral thrush?

I have a stupid question, if I have oral thrush, and being treated for it, can I still do oral sex or will it make the infection worse? If not how long after starting treatment can I start again? I got oral thrush from taking antibotics.

no, you should not perform oral sex. apparently, you are getting treated for "something" that is an "infection", according to your words. why would you, in your right mind think of having oral sex when you are being treated for an oral "infection"? i realize you got it from taking antibiotics, but it's better to wait until you are cleared up.

thrush is from the same family of bacteria/fungus that causes yeast infections. anyone with a compromised immune system can be susceptible to receiving it... male or female.

That might not be the only way you got it...someone with a yeast infestion can pass it on that way.

Dont until its gone......yikes.......as, for Diflucan........it works great. Take a pill for just a day or two......ask doctor for it........and/or use Mycelex lozenges too.

You don't want to transfer the infection to someone else. Wait until the doc gives you the all-clear.

You won't get a worse infection, but the person you give oral sex to will get thrush. It is a fungus infection & doesn't much care where it grows!

i would ask your doc if i were you. you can give some one a yeast infection if you're not careful.

no do not give oral sex it will then be past on to your partner he/she will then have gentile thrush and then will also need to be treated. As long as the thrush is cleared up you should be able give oral sex again. But make sure it is 100% clear first
