You question the Bible. You say that it's not scientific. But you admit that science is not absolute truth. Don't you realize your folly?
Scientists always modify their beliefs because they are faulty.
You say that according to Bible the earth is only 6000 years, God created light before sun and moon, bat is a bird, earth is immovable and flat etc. But you don't believe these because you will modify your beliefs. The latest technology in future will prove those facts true and that will confirm the Holy Bible--which will prove Christianity. How can you with your limited knowledge refute God's Holy Word? Infact latest technology proved that earth is immovable
in a reference frame with the same velosity of earth. The fact that bat is a bird will be proved with modern genetics. How are you so ignorant to trust your science so much and be skeptic simultanously.
Who are the real morons? Don't you realize. Read the Bible.It's the TRUTH. Why? A child will understand but not you.

I still can't tell whether you're a satirest or not. All of the questions you ask are designed as if they were right out of the write ups athiests use to point out how stupid Christians are.

Science is always evolving. We don't know everything. We're aware of that. So yes, technically, it's possible that science will be revised as we become more aware and Christianity will be right. But it's not demonstrated that said outcome is even likely (except in ways you've said before, and I pointed out that those don't work from a logical point of view). That's why I'm *agnostic*. I acknowledge that it's possible, but there's no reason to believe one way or another based entirely on logic.

I am not an atheist because I say the bible is not scientific but because I say that based upon the evidence therein and from other religious texts deities do not exist. I also find the bible to be contradictory. Does science enter into the overall decision not to believe.. yes slightly but then so does sociology, psychology, theology, mythology..

Science is not arrogant enough to say it has every answer.. it is a tool t hat is flexible to admit wrongs and use them to build the correct theory. The christians say the bible is never wrong.. that is can be construed as arrogant.

The only thing I think about the Bible is that somewhere in there it lost a lot of the stories and some of it was made up for us to have something to hold on to. There are people that believe so strongly in the Bible that they don't do anything without consulting it. And I am not saying I am atheist by no means. I am not a christian either but I do believe in God. I just think that the Bible isn't the whole truth unless God throws a copy of one down here every few hundred years, then the passages get lost and people change things. I mean back then they didn't have paper and pens and they were writing on rocks and those rocks or stones could have been broken or stolen or lost. So many what ifs to it all. It just seems like it has been around for a long time for everything to still be as first written.

First of all, scientists do not have "beliefs". They have theories, which can be proven true, whereas beliefs cannot.
Second of all, are you trying to tell me that the earth is only 6000 years old? Scientists have come to the conclusion that the Earth is approximately 4.55 billion years old based on fossils and rocks found that have been dated to be older than 6000 years. If science changes anything in the future about the age of the Earth, it will probably be that it is older, not younger, if they find older rocks and fossils.
How can light be created before the sun? Just trying to fathom that possibility blows my mind. What did god use for light? How is it possible? If god created light before the sun, then what is the purpose of the sun?
Bats are mammals based upon a classification system developed by humans. What does god care if it's a bird or not? The characteristics of mammals are as follows: they are vertabrates, the females produce millk, they have hair or fur, and they are warm-blooded. A bat meets every one of these specifications and, therefore, is a mammal.
Earth is not flat, nor is it immovable. We have sattelite images from outer space to prove it isn't. What more do you want?
Lastly, I am not a moron. My GPA is 4.14 and I am in all honors classes. I think the real moron here is you.

A bat is not a bird, it is a mammal. Birds lay eggs, mammals have live young. Bats have live young therefore they are mammals. Their wings are actually webbed fingers, birds do not have arms or fingers, only wings.

If the earth is immovable then why is the planet being pulled into the sun by it's gravitational pull? What about tectonic plates?

The earth is not flat. We know this because there are satellites in space orbiting the globe, there are planes flying around the world and ships can circumnavigate the earth without falling off it.

We believe in science because science can provide hard, concrete evidence. Something which christianity and the bible cannot.

The bible is not the truth. Simply because our modern bible is not the bible that is what it was meant to be. A child will not understand, only believe. A child has not yet seen the entire world with it's own eyes and been given the chance to make it's own judgements and assessments.

The difference between science and christianity is that science doesn't not claim to know all the answers. It doesn't claim to be right either. The whole point of science is to embrace different ideas to learn more about the world around us. That's why scientific theories are called theories and not laws.

I personally don't believe that science gives us the full story. I also don't believe that these gaps can be filled by a book which has been changed so much, it doesn't deserve to hold the same name.
