plays "small ball" better than anyone in the game

and most importantly:
he's not a fat piece of **** who sits on the bench while the rest of his team is playing defense

He can continue to play "small ball", but Big Papi wins Big games with Big bat and should be MVP, but will not get it again because of DH status. Shouldn't you be making a case for Giambi instead? better argument I would think, but still no Papi.

I'm a huge Jeter (but not a Yanks) fan, but if the season ended today, I'd have to go with Ortiz. Jeter would most likely figure into the top 3-5 candidate so far, so he's in the running.

I know that Big Papi's one-dimensional, but he is awesome in that one dimension!

He has 37 Homeruns and 104 RBI's, so what if he doesnt play the field. A-Rod plays the field and he SUCKS at doing it but he still got that bogus MVP award last year.

I would love it if Derek Jeter won the AL MVP. He's a great all around player. But, he probably won't win the MVP. Every year, they choose the people who hit the most homeruns. Most likely, David Ortiz will win it. But, there's a good chance Jeter will win the gold glove award.

Jeter is the worse defensive shortstop in the AL. Only Michael Young is as bad.

Small ball is for players who can't hit. Neifi Perz is a great small ball player.

Jetter is a good player having a great season, but no way is he MVP.

If I was to pick a shortstop for AL MVP, it would be Carlos Guillen. His numbers are comparable to Jeter and his team has more wins and the Tigers don't have a $200 million dollar payroll.
