Resolved Question

Show me another »

I have a coin I took to a jewelry place and asked them about it.?

They say it is an old ancient coin, approximately 1500 years old. You can see one side. I have searched all of the sites I know of and still cannot find it. I would like to know if it is worth anything at all. Thanks.

There are three things that make coins valuable:
    1. being made from precious metals.
    2. rarity
    3. condition

From what you said about only being able to see one side. I would guess the condition is not good, which really decreases the chances it is particular valuable.
If you want to give me more info., I'll try to help you more.

Your email address hasn't been confirmed. So, I can't reply to your message. Here is what I was going to say:
Are there any words/ letters/ numbers on it?

    Did the shop tell you:
    What it is made of
What country or part of the world it is from

It sounds like cool thing to have, but I won't get your hopes up that it is worth a fortune. The condition sounds pretty bad, so it would have to be made of gold or REALLY rare to be worth a lot.
