Ovarian cysts?

I have been having pain in my lower abdomen about a week after i have my period. I feel a fullness and it lasts about 2-3 days. I have a history of ovarian cysts...but not the bad kind. I understand that the pain could be coming from ovulation. my question is, do ovarian cysts make getting pregnant more difficult?

I also have the same thing. Pain. Have had it for some times now. When my Doctor 1st told me, I was very upset. I just had my 1st son. My husband and I wanted more children. Doctor told me, yes sometimes it can be hard to get pregnant. I cryed. Next month came and went. No period. Not even thinking I might be. Went to the Doctor... yes I was..... She was a blessing.. I have my tubes tied now . So I think no matter what the doctors say. Yes you can still get pregnant.

Yes, they can complicate pregnancy. but if you are still having pain you need to see your doctor immediately so that your risk is lower for pregnancy complications.

not necessarily. There are many types of cysts.some more serious than others. severe poly cystic ovary disease may cause you problems. some cysts come and go.i am 30 years old and i would say 80% of my friends and i have cysts. we are all mothers. i have also had surgery for the cysts just once because they thought it was a bad one but it wasn't. i do have a friend who has poly cystic ovary disease and they are treating her with medications for that as well as fertility meds and she is having trouble getting pregnant.but take in mind there may be other factors. obviously if you are menstruating you are of age to see a gynecologist. just have him monitor you every six months to a year. if you are looking to get pregnant and are having difficulty there are specialists for that.if you are experiencing severe lower quadrant pains make sure to see a doctor. cramps are normal even post period and ovulation. take care
