How do you slow a song down and burn it to a cd?

Question

There's a song I need slowed down about 1/2 the speed. I figured out how to slow it down using Windows Media, but then I can't save it slowed down/burn it to CD at the slow speed. Any tips?

I'm afraid that this isn't possible with Windows Media Player...you would have to save the song at the slower rate. WMP doesn't do this I believe.

I usually edit all my soundfiles on Sony Soundforge (not free, unfortunately). It's a sound editing software that has many features, including slowing down the speed of a soundfile. It can also change the format of your soundfile to almost any other sound format. If you save your edited music file as an MP3 or a WMA, I think you'll have no problem burning it to a CD.
