How to dissolve cork from inside bottle?

Question

Is there a way to disolve a cork that was pushed inside a bottle? There is no wine in it, I just would like to take the cork out and reuse the bottle.

Not dissolve, freeze it out.

Fill the bottle with water until the cork stands up in the neck...as much water as you can get in. Put in freezer....the ice will push out the cork. Remove before ice expands enough to break the bottle and then thaw. Best wishes...you can do this...

When in doubt, use fire. Burn the cork out.

Pour just a few drops of lighter fluid onto the cork, let it soak in for a minute then drop in a match. Poof!

Vinegar will take days and smell nasty. Freezing could crack the bottle. Try fire, but not too intense. You don't want an explosion. You just want it to burn.

NO!! I have the best way! It is actually a parlor trick that I have done many times (and made a lot on money on bets!!!). You take a regular cloth napkin, folded in half (any direction). Insert the center of the fold line into the bottle (keep a hold of the end of the napkin!). There will be a fold in the napkin inside the bottle. Shake the bottle until the cork is in the fold of the napkin. Pull it out!!
