For the tech ppl only, i have a cuspid xtreme 1600 watt amp but it barely pushes my subs, anyone kno why?

this amp came with two boxes, each with 8 inch subs, 3 inch mids, and 3 inch tweeters, why wont it push them like its supposed to? i mean, the boxes altogether are 1200 watts, shouldnt that be enough power?

You need to be certain you wire your subs to the preffered OHM load properly. For most amplifiers, drivers like to go for 2 OHM loads because it offers little resistance and gets more power to the SUBS.

a 1600 WAT amp is designed specifically for the SUBS if it is a mono channel. If your amp is designed for multi channels be sure you have it wired properly.

BTW, 8 inch SUBS aren't going to get you rattling, deafening bass.

That CUSPID XTREME only puts out 4x40rms.
So you put 2x80(bridged) into two speakers.

This amplifier is not very good honestly. If I were you I'd get a mono channel amp and then a 4-channel for your doors.
