My wife displays symptoms of hypotension;however,when her BP is taken,her pulse is 100+ ! Is this serious?

When the BP goes down the pulse is going to go up to compensate. If the top # is below 100, and she is not feeling well you should call her doctor, go to the Emergency Room, or call an ambulance.

she probably gets nervous before she takes it take it once and try again 5 minutes later. I do the samething. Most of the time though hypertension has now symptoms. And no syptoms are visible. The main symptom for extreme hypertension is a headache behind the eyes and nausea, but only a small percentage of those who have hypertension experience those symptoms.

She might have low BP, but just gets stressed out at the doctor's office, and that gets her pulse racing. Maybe get a BP machine for at home and take a reading when she's relaxed. But I'm NOT a doctor, so please ask a physician you trust if she does not feel well.
