Once I was trying to find my lost dof, and my fav number was 23 so we checked stret 23 and thre she was, Evertime I say I see 23 everywhere people don't belive me. then I'll see it and I'll be like haha What now loser!! WHat does this mean

abyhow, ha ill leave that typo in for the irony. There actually is an explanation for this. the reason you see this number everywhere, is because you WANT to.

it is not coincidence, just a trick that your brain plays on your conscious mind. you have a pre-concieved notion that the nummber 23 is "following" you, and YOU give it meaning, it may be that the number had a significant meaning at ONE point, but you are now giving it even more meaning, and when you happen by chance to see this number, your brain instantly connects it to the other "coincidences"

it is the same reason that the clock "always" reads "9:11" or "4:20" or the call number of your favorite radio station.

there is a psychological term for this "phenomenon" but, it is nothing more than a brain trick,

sorry to burst your bubble, but theres nothing more to it than that.

I see 23 around all the time. I always thought it was a bit of a conspiracy. All TV shows, commercials, etc, seem to have 23 in it. I used to point it out and tell people about it, and they always ridiculed me and made fun. Then i read Media Virus. It's a book by Douglas Rushkoff. In the book he tells of a small group of people that were in the entertainment industry that thought it'd be a funny prank to put 23 in everywhere. Now, whether you believe that it is the case or not, the very least you should get from my answer is that it's not our imagination, because the author, Douglas Rushkoff, addressed the issue in his book.

Get it from the library and look it up.

I actually read something recently about the #23. It does tend to pop up a lot. It's a prime #, 23 pairs of human chromosomes, Michael Jordan's jersey #, Earth is on a 23 degree angle, 23 popes named John, David Beckham's jersey #, the Latin alphabet has 23 letters. It's just weird stuff. I also read that Jim Carrey is so interested in this phenomenon that he changed his production company (or something of the like), to JC23.
