How long can a normal, healthy 8 week old kitten survive inside an adult python? URGENT?
I am fairly certain that the python did not chew much. I also do not want to damage the python much.... what is the best strategy for rescuing the kitten?
It's probably ok - a healthy adult cat can survive for up to a week inside a python, so a kitten will be fine for around 3-4 days. Try this at home if you think I'm wrong. Maybe longer if you punch airholes in the side of the snake.
This was obviously a joke. It's impossible, and of course the asker picked the ridiculous answer that said the cat would be fine for days. Riiiiiiight. Waste of time.
what the heillllll did you feed your kitty to a stupid freaking snake or soemthing????? maybe the snake will eat you while you are asleep one night, that sounds like a good idea.
you are a loser, and dont worry, something bad will happen to you eventually for killing a cat
I have the feeling that mixing the two was not a good idea. The snake didn't know the kitten wasn't dinner. I believe, that a python actually strangles it's prey before it swallow's it. I could be wrong, but I think I'd be on the phone to the vet right now or cutting open the snake. Your options are very few.
get it to a vet hospital ASAP. you might have to cut the snake open. i have no idea how long but you should be definitely calling someone with actual experience in the veterinarian field. its not good when your reaction is to go to Yahoo! Answers.. get that cat some help quick!
Pythons do not chew, they swallow whole, them squeeze. If the kitten has been swallowed, you can't rescue it without hurting the python, and as you posted this 3 min.'s ago, the kitten is most likey dead from no oxygen by now.
Did your python swallow your kitten? Geez, ever heard of separate pet homes (i.e., reptile cage and litter box). Umm.. back to your question. I don't think your kitten will survive, unless you can get it out, not by excretion.
i hate to tell you this but they constrict, swallow and when they swallow the stomache acids come into play so most likely that kitten is dead unless you get the kitten out right after it eats it, by doing that you chop the pythons head off and cut it open its gonna be kinda hard to cut the skin
Supposing the cat wasn't dead after being suffocated by being squeezed before being swallowed. I would guess that on the outside the small cat could stay alive for about 5 minutes in the oxygen free environment of the snake's stomach.
