why does everyone like shakira?, like her vidoe hips dont lie, why does everyone like it? what has shakira that people likes so much?, i think all of shakira's songs are the same, same rithym, even same artists, like the dude from hips dont lie he was in the other video La Tortura.

because she has nice moves???, please, one thing is the moves, the other thing is her videos, plus she was like number one on billboard for like six weeks, i really dont get how a stupid song and how a stupid video can get number one on billboard, 50 cent hasn't even made it.

please, dude, there are HOTTER people in Hollywood than shakira, believe me, i live there.

Many people have different answers to why they like Shakira.

First of all, let me start by saying that Hips Don't Lie has only been number one on Billboard for two weeks, not six.

Also, Alejandro Sanz was featured in La Tortura, however, Wyclef Jean was featured in Hips Don't Lie.

Okay, now let me get to the point.

The reason why people like Shakira is because she is not your typical Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. Her songs are from every range in pop, and she tries anything that comes to her mind. Hips Don't Lie for example, was made after the release of Oral Fixation because she met Wyclef and they made a song. Randomely. Her song is just danceable, and well, she knows how to dance--plus, she trained herself.

Additionally, she has a foundation that helps over three million Colombians in her country. For example, she bought Reebok shoes to all the kids in Colombia due to the name of her foundation Pies Descalzos--or Barefeet in English. She is a true humanitarian and that has helped increase your fame.

Shakira is different but her voice is horrible. I do not speak spanish so i can not tell you how she sounds singing in spanish...She has some nice dance moves but they are becoming repetitive

second: they're not the same, most artists have a lot of songs that sound the same
third: they also have a lot of songs with the same rhytm
fouth: same artists? yeah she's only one woman she's not a band
