yes. it is used for treatment of the manic phase of bipolar disorder as well as for schizophrenia.

I took one, it knocked me on my *** and put me to sleep. I had nice dreams and peaceful thoughts. I didn't know it was used to treat bi polar disorder, but my friend who gave it to me is bi polar, so I should've figured as much
