Where can i sell my extra breastmilk?

i just had a son and now i have extra breastmilk and i was wondering where i can sell it at?

don't worry about it, just mix with ice cream for a shake or put it in cereal for breakfast. Saves bunches on the grocery bill.

You can't ever have extra. Breastmilk can last up to 4 months if you freeze it immediately and never let it thaw out until you're ready to use it. That means, if you bottle feed once in a while and use the oldest one you have then you can use your 'extra' months after you decide to completely stop breastfeeding.

hi i'm just 15 try to make ur son drink it it will give him strong bone and so forth it cannot sell and it cannot be donated to another baby mother because when they drink it and it finished they will want more and when there mother is trying to give them they will refuse it or give it to ur animals LOL!!

Why don't you give it to your son????? But if the case is that he just won't breastfeed then pump it and give it to him in a bottle but if you don't want to do that maybe you could call a hospital and ask if they need donations for it since premature babies need all the nutrients they can get. Other than that, i don't know?!?!?!?!

I have heard of people doing this and there are sites on the net that help people with it. However, I think it's awful and there is no way on God's green earth that I would feed my child from a strange person's milk. Eww Ewwww EWWWWWWWW!

OMG, some of these answers are so immature. I was looking to do the same thing because with a new baby, money is tight. Anyway, I couldn't ever find a place that would actually buy it, but you can donate it. You might not get any money but you will get warm fuzzies to know that you are helping a sick or premature baby somewhere. My sister had a premature baby so this was really special to me. there are local organisations which take breastmilk, provided that it was pumped in sterile conditions, and frosen for less than 60 days. your local baby care center will probably know who will take it off your hands.

I have heard of people selling it, however it's more common to donate it to a local milk bank who will pasteurize & combine it w/ other women's milk to give to infants in distress.
However, after the 3rd month, you are not going to have as much, so I would start freezing it (it will last 6 months in a deep freeze). It really comes in handy!
