It depends a lot on a person's body chemistry and physical medical history. If you read the consumer's flyer that comes with Cymbalta, you will find that there are sexual side effects. They used terms like "rate corrected QT" and a few other things that at times seem incomprehensible. Fact is all medications affect you. It's your Doctor's responsibility to find the medication that causes the least amount of harm with the greatest amount of healing attributes for the patient. It is the patient's responsibility to report personal and family health histories to the physician. Both people are responsible for mental, emotional and physical well-being of the patient. Some times it takes a little (or a lot, and you don't really want to go there) tweaking of medications.
Good Luck and stay healthy! (and read those pesky little tissue sheets with a medical dictionary, it's enough to turn your hair grey.)
