GMAT study scores vs actual exam score?

Hi

to all you MBA students - am I correct in assuming the gmat exams provided by prep school books, such asKaplan and Priencton review, are harder than actual Gmat exams?
or rephrasing - am I to expect a slightly higher quantative score on my actual GAMT than my avrage on prep tests taken?

thanks

I found that my actual GMAT test was a bit harder than any of the practice exams I took. I did Kaplan classes and a number of published study guides. Though the test was a bit harder, the guides were a big help.
