If you have ok computer skills I would recommend a data cable. You can make your own ringtones from audio files on your computer and transfer them to your phone. You can also transfer wallpapers, pictures, videos, etc and do other things like use your phone as a modem for your computer. The only cost would be the cost of the cable but you can usually find them cheap online. A search for "Motoroalo v170 data cable" on eBay revealed many, one for as low $6.02 includding shipping. If eBay isn't your thing try Googling it but in store they are usually about $30.

http://www.crostel.com is free and works for TracFone v170 phones. You need to select "Ringtones" and then "motorola_sms" to send to your phone.
