I hate teachers, is there anything I can do?

I am in 10th grade right now, and I can't stand my teachers. I seem to be the only one, its like a disease to me, but I think I can teach myself things much quicker and better than my teachers. I talked to my counselor last semester about this, and she suggested taking an online couse. I decided to take algebra 2 (Im taking geometry at school) and I finished the entire year-long course in 2 weeks with a 95% average. That was over winter break, so when I got back I decided to try not paying any attention at all in any of my classes. I normally play calculator games during every class. Anyway, i still have a 95 or so average. I know this is not normal, most kids study hard and struggle through, but I just absent-mindedly listen and everything makes sense. Is there anything I can do? I could probably teach myself all my classes in 1/4 of the time.

It sounds like you don't so much hate your teachers as you're bored and unchallenged in the classroom.

You should meet with your counselor again and ask about getting into some sort of gifted program.

Congratulations on being so good at math. A lot of people don't have that gift. Be careful not to become arrogant because of it.

I agree with the person who posted above. It isn't the the teachers so much as that your educational needs are different from most of the other kids.

Talk with you parents about this. Perhaps you can get into more adanced classes. Many states allow advanced high school students to dual enroll in the community college so you can take college classes that will count both toward college and to high school graduation.

There are also places that do online coursework aimed at homeschooled kids. You could check that out as well.

Talk to your parents. You might also get an educational psychologist or your school psychologist to test you to identify your advanced educational needs. Might help you make the move to more advanced work.

I am in the ninth grade and my math teacher just does not know how to explain any of it!So by reading the examples from the book,I basically have to teach myself.
