in terms of setting and shooting a movie, who is the best director/cinemetogropher working today and why?

There are few that seem to care about it anymore. Ang Lee is very good. I'm thinking about Sense and Sensibility and Brokeback Mountain. He has a way of making things very simple. Terrance Malick is also a master. I am also a big fan of M. Night Shyamalan. As a writer he needs to branch out. But visually he is already there. He uses color and space beautifully.
