If they're anything like UK schools then the answer is definitely NO. Such avoidance would require a) a specific intention which has been acted upon consistently; b) a clear design which has been adhered to for more than one financial year. Impossible in the school system here!

As one who believes that corporations enjoy more rights than individuals and drive public policy, and as corporations behave rationally (economically speaking), then I have to say NO, it's not possible - because the banks, brokers, and investment houses would want to access people's capital directly via people's investments rather than through discretionary consumer spending over which they have no control.

Sorry about the one-sentence paragraph, but I don't have time to edit right now.
