Mary kay or avon which is better?

Definately Mary Kay..those who don't like Mary Kay but have not tried it lately may not know that Mary Kay works to come out with better products all the time. The 100 percent guarantee on products without a limit of time make buying stress free. Try a lipstick don't like the color? No problem. With the personal service you get to try before you buy. Mary Kay's business philosophy is about Women Helping Women and publicly says God first Family Second and Career third! For some people this is a threatening policy. I am proud that I can put my faith and my family before my business. They continue to reward and encourage the members of their sales force. As a Mary Kay consultant you choose if you want to recruit or not and how much you want to sell and how hard you want to work your business. There is no pyramid! I sold Avon once upon a time and I can say without a doubt Mary Kay is better in quality and customer service! I have seen a visible difference in my skin since I started using the products and I would never go back! Mary Kay consultants have an unlimited amount of training and resources available to them to pass on to you! Thats the personal consultant I would want in my corner. ;)

If it has to be those 2...Avon. I hate Mary Kay, it's like some weird cult. And the makeup is WAY too expensive for what you're getting, it's drug store quality.
I personally like Clinique and their Bonus Times! Almost all of my make up I have gotten free from there. You should check it out.

It really depends on your skin compatibility with either products, or your personal preferences.

There's no way for me to provide a diagnosis over the net. Consult an aesthetician on products suitability. If she is professional, she'll be impartial on both products. In fact, it may benefit you more to use different products from both ranges together!

Neither Mary Kay nor Avon are in the upper echelon of cosmetics anymore. Try Philosophy for cleansers/moisturizers and covergirl for anything else.

Avon is poor quality but cheap, and Mary Kay is expensive and mediocre quality. I think you should try www.sephora.com
They have high quality products that are inexpensive.

Well if you have sensitive skin neither of the two are good for you some one mentioned Clinque and also if you have access to a Bare Essential store then that is another one that is good for sensitive and even non sensitive skin. But I would stay away from the whole Mary Kay and Avon. Plus Bare Essentials makeup last a long time and is some what at a reasonable price.

I agree with the majority here, that Avon is better quality and cheap. I don't care much for Avon makeup, but I do like some of their bath and body products. Mary Kay is way too expensive for the quality.

i use avon. they have more products. not only do they have make-up they have skin care products, purses, jewelry, etc. (i dont kno if marykay have those or not) but avon really helps me because my skin is getting alot clearer

If you want cheap, go to Avon or Walgreens. Both are the same. Mary Kay is better for the money. You and a friend find a MK and Avon consultant. Each of you buy the basic skincare kit (cleanser, moisturizer, microdermabrasion) and try it for one month. See who has the better skin! MK is expensive, but it's worth your money. And it really isn't that much if you compare it to MAC or some of the cosmetics the celebs use.

I will have to agree with MegansellsMK. I also agree that you should try it to make sure it is compatible with your skin type. MK is made to go with everyone's skin. I use to just buy whatever, including Avon. MK is way worth the try! MK is not expensive. I am not sure what you may be comparing to. If you were to compare high end brands, MK falls in the middle. It also sorta does feel like a cult. But you would just have to be there, it's a very nice cult! =)
