About me: Hi I’m Doug Vallgren and I have worked at Norwich Union for over 30 years, most of which was linked to motor insurance. I have worked on marketing, underwriting, pricing and research, and also spent a good part of my apprenticeship with customers.

Probably the most challenging time came for me when I was persuaded, face to face to cover a five wheel "motorcycle" for a member of the Hells Angels. And no, a claim was never lodged against that policy - none from the policyholder and certainly not from any Third Party. As it turned out a perfectly good risk!
