I am a California Real Estate Broker and Mortgage Lender in 20 States with 10 years experience. I have spent a lot of time counseling clients on how to better manage their credit. Most people do not have a clear understanding of how the credit rating system works, so they are usually able to improve their profile fairly easily. Mortgages, and all other credit instruments, are financial tools. You need to understand how they work to make sure you are getting the most out of your assets without undue risk.
